What “not FDA-approved” means: compounded medicines are made by a licensed pharmacy and filled for an individual prescription. The FDA doesn't review compounded medicines for safety, effectiveness or quality before they're dispensed, the way it reviews approved drugs. Your provider decides whether one is right for you.
A licensed provider decides whether it's right for you, after reviewing your intake.
What researchers have studied, and what they have not shown. None of this is a claim about what this peptide does for you; your provider talks with you about what is and isn't known.
A 2025 systematic review covered 36 studies, 35 of them preclinical, in muscle, tendon, ligament and bone injury models, mostly in rats and rabbits.
“In preclinical models, BPC-157 improved functional, structural, and biomechanical outcomes in muscle, tendon, ligament, and bony injuries.”
FDA summarized rat studies on gastrointestinal and liver lesion models, and noted that dose-response relationships and molecular targets have not been established.
“in rats, BPC-157-related substances could prevent colonic fistulas, hepatic lesions, and GI lesions induced by different challenges.”
A retrospective chart study at one clinic reported 17 patients who received knee injections of BPC-157, alone or with TB4; 16 were asked about knee pain by phone afterwards. There was no control group.
“A retrospective study was done at the Institute for Hormonal Balance in Orlando, Florida, USA.”
A 2026 systematic review found three human studies with 30 people in total (knee pain, interstitial cystitis and an intravenous safety pilot) and rated the certainty of evidence very low.
“Overall certainty of evidence was rated very low due to serious risk of bias, indirectness and imprecision.”
FDA found five small human studies, using rectal enema, knee injection, bladder instillation or intravenous dosing, and described them as short and exploratory with limited safety reporting.
“No serious adverse events appear to have been reported with these studies.”
BPC-157 is not FDA-approved. FDA stated that no product containing it is approved in any country. In briefing documents for its July 23–24, 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meeting, FDA proposed not adding BPC-157 to the 503A bulks list; the committee's votes and any final FDA decision were not found. HHS's interim policy describes the conditions under which HHS does not intend to act against a 503A pharmacy that compounds it for a patient's own prescription.

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide. It is one of the six peptides in an interim HHS policy for compounding pharmacies. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not the same as brand-name medications. Nothing is made or shipped until a licensed provider approves it for you. If a provider says it's not right for you, you pay nothing.
You want a peptide prescribed by a licensed provider, not a research-use vial. You want one ingredient, made for your prescription. You want a person to ask between visits.
Yes, by prescription. BPC-157 is one of the six peptides in HHS's interim policy (October 2026). Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not the same as brand-name medications.
No. You can order BPC-157 on its own: a short intake, a licensed provider's approval, and your prescription made and shipped. A membership adds four lab panels and four provider visits a year and a wellness consultant between visits.
Made by a 503A facility for your prescription. One ingredient per product. Never blended. It is labeled with your name and your prescription.

We don't make claims about what any peptide does for a specific problem. Evidence in people is limited for these peptides, and none of them is FDA-approved for any use. Your licensed provider talks with you about what is and isn't known, and decides whether one is right for you.
